Bottle Recycling Program

MANB is partnering with Golden Mile Redemption Centre to start a Bottle Recycling Program.

MANB is requesting all Muslim Families in the community to become part of this Program whereby you can raise funds for MANB by donating your recyclable bottles and containers.

The recyclables will be collected on a certain date in the month that will be announced in the Key Announcements email.

When is the drop off date?
Please check our Community Events Calendar (from the menu above)  to find out the next drop off date for recyclable bottles and containers.

Where to drop of the recyclable bottles and containers?
You have two options: 

• 1) You can bring the recyclable bottles and containers to MANB the day before the pickup is scheduled. Pickup date will be announced in the Key Announcements email. 
• 2) You can take the recyclable bottles and containers directly to Golden Mile Redemption Centre. MANB has an account setup with the Redemption Centre and you get a fast lane service at that location meaning you do not have to wait for your turn. You can go and leave your recyclable bottles and containers and let them know that this is for Muslim Association of New Brunswick. They will automatically reimburse MANB’s account with the redemption value.

What kind of bottles and containers can I donate?
You can donate any kind of plastic bottles for pop or juice, juice boxes, and cans. For a complete list of eligible items, please see the following link:

Is there any item that I cannot bring?
Milk cartons and any dairy cartons are not allowed. Please see the complete list in the link above.

Where do I leave the bottles at the Masjid?
You may leave your bag of recyclable bottles and containers outside the side entrance of the Masjid, the day before the pickup date (as announced in the Key Announcements email).

What about half empty bottles and bottles with no caps?
Please make sure that all bottles are empty.
If you have bottles that have no caps, please empty them thoroughly so the contents do not make a mess. If your bottles and containers are sticky, please rinse them in order to avoid foul odour.
